Welcome back and Happy New Year!

We are shocked that it is already January and are so proud of how the children in reception have grown in confidence and built new relationships during their very first term in school. Reception have made great progress in their fine motor skills thanks to our busy fingers sessions and we will be continuing these but also incorporating more sessions on handwriting and letter formations to ensure that this skill develops effectively.

We are continuing our learning of exciting topics starting with food glorious food! We will then be exploring Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. During spring 2 term  we start with Fairytales and finish with growing and changes, focusing on the changes we can see in the natural world around us. As always any resources that you may have at home that link to our upcoming topics are greatly appreciated and always used.

We look forward to seeing you on our stay and play sessions this term which are Thursday 9th February and Wednesday 8th March. Both of these sessions commence at 2.45pm.

Thank you for your ongoing support during Autumn term, we look forward to another fantastic term!

If you have any questions about your child please do not hesitate to ask their class teacher.
